APPENDIX C
FORMULATION OF TES RINGER'S SOLUTION
TES (N-tris[Hydroxymethyl]-methyl-2-aminoethane-sulfonic acid) Ringer's solution is similar in composition to standard Ringer's solutions, but is specially adapted for use in reptiles. As such, the pH is sligthtly higher and the osmolarity is slightly lower than standard Ringer's for mammals.
